Mascarpone

A velvety soft Italian-style cream cheese that is rich, creamy and spreadable. Its velvety texture is similar to thickened cream. Traditionally known as a key ingredient in tiramisu, Mascarpone adds a delicious, creamy decadence in both sweet and savoury creations.

Applications

Create desserts such as tiramisu, cheesecakes, ice cream and gelato
Use as a dessert accompaniment in place of cream
Use as is from the pack, or for delicious flavour variants add sweeteners (such as icing sugar or honey), or flavours (cinnamon, chocolate, lemon, orange or grated coffee beans) Use flavoured mascarpone for dips and icing
Use as a spread for sweet biscuits, bagels and bread
Create a rich, creamy pasta sauce, or add flavoured mascarpone to a risotto or a swirl in soup
Can be combined with alcohol and acidic ingredients such as coffee
Freeze/thaw stable in applications only
